KCSE Mean grade C-(Minus)

The school offers a three and a half year Kenya Registered communi-ty Health Nursing (KRCHN) program approved by the Nursing Coun-cil of Kenya The program is recognized both regionally and internationally.The program trains first level nurses in the areas of general nursing, midwifery ad community health nursing services.

Course organization

  • Diploma in KRCHN

The entire program takes 3.5 years (182 weeks, including 14 weeks for annual leave).

The curriculum is based on a syllabus approved by the nursing council of Kenya. It consists of theoretical block sessions, skills lab training, clinical and community placements, case studies and research project. All these are implemented in accordance with a Master Rotation Plan for the entire duration of training.

The areas include:

  1. Basic sciences (A/P, Pharmacology, Biomedical subjects)
  2. Fundamentals of Nursing
  3. Medical Surgical Nursing
  4. Midwifery
  5. Community Health Nursing
  6. Pediatric Nursing
  7. Psychiatry
  8. Research Project
  9. Elective placements in special units e.g. Ophthalmic nursing, ENT, ICU
  • Diploma Nutrition and Dietetics

  • The minimum requirement for admission for Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics is a C in Kenya Certificate in Secondary Education or its equivalent as ascertained with the ministry of Education and any other requirements as ascertained by KNDI.

    Exceptions and Credit transfers shall be considered by the college Programme duration

    The diploma in nutrition and dietetics is offered over a minimum period of nine(9) trimesters or three academic years. Each academic year consists of three trimesters

  • Certificate in ICT

  • His course is intended to equip the trainee with the knowledge, skills and attitude which are responsive to the challenging needs in the computing industry.

    The course will allow the graduate to work in a salaried employment or self-employment. During the course the trainee will be exposed to Computer Programming, User Support, Computer Application, and Operating System

    KCSE: D (Plain) OR Any other equivalent Qualification as determined by KNEC
